More Anti-American Sentiment from a CEO

Via Huffington Post:

"During a press conference Tuesday on the status of six men trapped in a Utah coal mine, Robert E. Murray, chairman of Murray Energy Co. (an owner of the Crandall Canyon mine) yelled at circling news helicopters and insisted, "There is no emergency here." He ordered the sheriff to get rid of the helicopters, screaming on-camera to "get 'er done.""

Is this for real? Does he think he has the power/authority to regulate air space? It is not his decision to make whether news helicopters enter the area or not. That CEO has much, much bigger problems he needs to worry about now (including the lives of several miners). If he's just lashing out at the news helicopters because he knows what deep trouble he is in, then that's just a shame.

Hate to remind this dude-- he lives in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Not China. Not Russia. Not Venezuela. Not Iran. So don't try to interfere with freedom of speech or freedom of the press during a rant at a news conference. Remember that you are lucky to be living in this country... and if the temorary roar of a news chopper motor is too much of an inconvenience for you, then retire and move to the upper ends of Maine.
